Guess what today is?????

MY HALLOWEEN PARTY! BOOOOOOO YAHHHHHH!

Perks of living on a farm when hosting a Halloween party:
Having a nice big tractor so you don’t have to drag the cornstalks to the barn by hand.
Having a property that connects to the neighbours so I can so kindly make use of his out of season cow corn…he’ll never know! Hahaha…shhhh…
Having a country boy as a boyfriend who so kindly just cuts several stalks down with a swiss army knife in seconds then loads up the tractor for you. :)

Y’all like my pumpkin this year? Well one of them so far..

I can’t take credit for the design though, I based it pretty much off of a photo I found here on tumblr, whoever it belonged to…

Going to possibly carve another tonight or tomorrow. I need the pumpkin seeds to roast…

Do you guys have any idea how bloody excited I am for this years Halloween Party?!?!

Nothing like last years rushed mess. Setting up in less than 3 hours…omg, that was hell, and it wasn’t even that pretty.

But really this year is gunna be gooooooood!!!

So I picked up last minute stuff today, table cloths, plates etc…

Plus a few other things because I couldn’t resist. So I got these paper pumpkins which I adore. Some labels for pop and water bottles (beats making my own which I was going to do until now). A sign for my scavenger hunt. & Two punch bowls…plus many other things!

Makeup yay/nay?

Because I’m behind…

Day 1) Selfie

Day 2) Leaves (Photo from two years ago - haven’t had time this year :( )

Day 3) Cuddle buddy (My dog Titan)

Halloween decor organization…
Then I realized I was missing another blue bin full of stuff.
Atleast it’s organized, now just the putting away part until the setup…*sigh*

THEY MAKE SUCH AWESOME STUFF THIS TIME OF YEAR.

Remember these from last year?
Pain in my ass they were.
They were guide markers for visitors to follow leading up to the barn. But I had a hard time making the holes in the top bigger so I could fit fake candles in them to make them glow.
Well I used my crafters knives this time around, made a hole in the bottom, so I could flick the candle on and off, and glued the candle into the top with hot glue. Plus I made many more seeing as they were so easy to cut this time around.
Should be better for this year, so people aren’t screaming that they cannot see!

Turned this dollar store plastic skull into a paper mache creepy looking dead monkey skull thing…still have to paint it some more. But I think mine would be better for more creepy feel in decomposing leaves for my scavenger hunt.

Materials used: Newspaper, paper mache mix (3/4 glue 1/4 water), paint, plastic skull, hot glue gun (to make veins).

Movies to watch this year:

The Haunting

Hocus pocus

The Nightmare Before Christmas

I will add to this list…

Grabbed 27 little gift bags for like 5 bucks at the dollar store. Also got some stickers and halloween stencils. Decorated. Just have to put napkins in, and they can be used as treat bags for the end of the party! Also stuck labels on the back so everyone can put their names on them.

Treat Bags DIY:

Small gift bags. Stencils. Acrylic paint. Stickers. Labels.

In the tutorial is says to use panty hose, and I didn’t want to pay a fortune so I saw these scarves in the dollar store.
They were hard to reach so a taller woman offered to grab it for me, and “I said sure, could you grab be two?!” She’s going on and on about how nice they look, and they’re so soft etc….
& I’m thinking lady, if only you knew what I was doing to these $1.25 scarves.
Spiders nest DIY:
Hot glue gun. Scarves (lol) or panty hose or any kind of fabric. Plastic spiders. Hooks. Large foam balls.
I’ll be adding smaller spiders on here too.

So I’m gunna paint plastic skulls…

Florescent colours, then put a black light on them, and hang them from the roof of my barn for my halloween party this year…think it’ll look cool?

My picture For the love of Autumn.
Crisp days, morning dew. Hot apple cider, apple picking. Scarfs, boots and long sleeves. Warm colours, falling leaves. Mums, pumpkins and squash. Hay rides, pumpkin picking. Corn mazes, bonfires. Jack-o'-lanterns, ghosts and goblins. Halloween, trick or treating. Apple pie, warm blankets. Pumpkin pie, Thanksgiving. Fire places, first snow fall. Numb noses, rosy cheeks. ---------------------------------------------------------- I'm a 22 year old going on 23 that is still in love with Halloween, Heck you're never too old for Halloween, that's what I think.

I will continue having parties into my later adult years, until I can no longer marvel in the season that is Autumn, and the event that is Halloween.

I hope you enjoy my journey into the up coming autumn season, and my love for everything Halloween. My party this year is going to be big! I'm making some of these recipes and crafts come to life pretty soon. So stay tuned and keep an eye out for all my experiences in this upcoming fall season!

Yours Truly, Amanda.
